How do you make a link geo-aware?
A geo-aware placement is a contextual link inside an article that fits your service and, where the network allows, your region. We plan each order around four things.
- Topic fit. The host article should discuss something close to the service, not a random subject.
- Regional fit. Where a host has a real tie to your area, we say so. Coverage differs by city and category, and we tell you in the proposal if the fit is weak.
- Target page. A link to the page that should rank, such as a service page or a city page, usually does more work than a link to the homepage.
- Pacing. We aim to spread placements out so a local site does not gain a burst of links in one week.
